The Andrews‑Pynchon Suction Tube is a reusable surgical instrument used to clear blood, fluid, and debris from operative fields to enhance visualization. The main suction channel is slightly curved to facilitate access into deeper or angled anatomical spaces—especially useful in ENT, cardiovascular, oral, and general surgeries.
The tip typically offers a 2.0 mm front port with lateral side ports to allow multi-directional suction and smoother flow. The handle is hollow and features vertical grooves to prevent slippage, while the base is fitted with a secure connector (olive) to attach to the suction tubing. Crafted from surgical-grade stainless steel, the instrument is autoclavable, corrosion-resistant, and built for long-term reuse.
